Coaches

Danielle La Cavalla from New City, NY has been a competitive alpine skier for 15 years.
Danielle attended Saint Lawrence University and raced for the team all four years. During those four years she competed in NCAA Division 1 Collegiate races, New Zealand Nationals, Canadian Nationals, and Austrian Nationals.
During her college career Danielle was Cum Laude and Gamma Sigma Alpha, the Greek Honor Society.
Danielle is excited about the upcoming season and looks forward to the personalities and talent on the Tufts Team.
Rob graduated in May of 1997 after skiing for Tufts for 4 years. After graduating Rob returned as the head coach for the winters of 1997/98 to 1999/00. Rob took 2000/01 off to spend a year in Germany, and returned to coaching Tufts during the winter of 2001/02.
Eric Pier from Rockland, Maine and a Sugarloafer since 1991 has been skiing since he was three and racing since he was seven.
Eric studied Chemistry at Bates College and is currently working in a lung cancer lab at Tufts Medical Center. At Bates, he was co-founder of the Bates Competitive Ski Club, an active team in the Maine Reynold’s Division of the USCSA. As leader of a team without a coach, Eric learned a great deal about leadership and coaching and is excited to bring these skills with him to the Tufts Ski Team for the 2011/12 season.
