The tale of Gyde Lund is one of humble beginnings and even more humble progressions. Born in St. Louis with two legs and one nose Gyde was riding high. However, having accomplished nothing of particular fame, notoriety or wealth by the age of 14, Gyde decided to live out the remainder of his golden years in hermitage pondering life's secrets and testing whether massaging trees in their youth improves their growth cycles-it does not. After having cut down all the trees he attempted to grow in order to make way for industry and put in a pool house, Gyde sat amongst the stumps of his work, meditating to the Howard Shore masterpiece that is the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. There was an awakening. Like the pheonix, Gyde burned the forest to the ground, gathered his worldly posessions (TI-84 calculator, hat, tempur-pedic pillow, half drank 30 rack of Natty) and hit the road. Under the cover of darkness Gyde slipped into Boston and took his place amongst the Tufts freshman class of 2012. Still the pull of the mountains and the finer things in life such as Shottub time machines brought him to the Tufts Ski Team and here he has resided ever since.
