If you are staying over on the 7th, click this link and sign up to stay at one of the houses on the list or sign up for a ride back to tufts on the 7th. Contact info is on the spreadsheet. If you are a driver/ have a house and can add yourself to the list please do so.
Waterville Schedule 2011
Wednesday, January 5:
- Arrive at Tufts, stay at an upperclassmen apartment
- 9 pm: meeting at Lindsay’s house, 78 Bromfield Rd., Apt. 1
Thursday, January 6:
- 7 am: Meet at Fletcher field lot, leave for Pat’s Peak
- 9 am – 3 pm: Train at Pat’s Peak
- 5 pm: Return to Tufts, team dinner, sleep at upperclassmen apartments
Friday, January 7:
- 7 am: Meet at Fletcher Field Lot, leave for Pat’s Peak
- 9 am – 3pm: Train at Pat’s Peak (GS)
- 3 pm: travel to Sunday River
- 6 pm: team dinner
- 9 pm: team meeting – rules clinic, gates clinic
Saturday, January 8 – GS Race at Sunday River
- 6:30 am: depart hotel for Sunday River
- 8 am: course inspection, warm-up run
- 9:30 am: first run start
- 12 pm: lunch / second run set / course inspection
- 1 pm: second run start
- 4 pm: return to motel, team dinner, team meeting
Sunday, January 9:
- Same as Saturday until 4 pm
- 4 pm: travel to Waterville Valley
- Evening: condo meetings, grocery shopping, pick people up from Plymouth
- 9 pm: team meeting
Monday, January 10 – Thursday, January 13:
- 7:30 am: morning jog and stretching
- 8 am: breakfast
- 9 am – 4 pm: training at Waterville Valley
- Evening: dinner and video sessions
Friday, January 14:
- Morning: clean condos, load cars
- 9 am – 4 pm: training at Waterville Valley
- 4 pm: leave for race in Farmington, ME, stay in motel
Saturday, January 15th:
- Morning: sleep in
- Afternoon: team activities
- Evening: SL race w/ Reynolds Division at Titcomb Mountain
- TBD: either stay in Maine or return to Tufts
Sunday, January 16th:
- Return to Tufts, stay in upperclassmen apartment
What to Bring:
Whatever you need for a week away (ie. Toiletries, Medication, etc)
Skis
Ski Boots
Helmet
Goggles
Pole/Shin Guards
Ski Tuning Tools
Layers/Ski Clothes
Ski Socks
Sneakers for the morning jog
Money for food
SLEEPING BAG (for the night before and the race after)
Cell Phone Charger
USSA Card (or printout)
Bathing Suit
Please DON’T Bring: What you need for school (you can pack it in a separate bag and leave it at the apartment you stay at on Wednesday – Friday), your laptop or other valuables / things that could get damaged, anything excessive (we have limited car space on the way up to Waterville); please do not pack in a solid frame suitcase – try and use duffel bags. Also, please only pack what you can carry yourself.
